My family and I took a trip to Columbia, South Carolina for a short vacation.
We visited the sights in Charleston (what a beautiful town) and decided to stop for lunch. We found a great place in Mt. Pleasant off Coleman Blvd at Tavern & Table.
I love food and I’m always willing to try new dishes and places to eat. This one wasn’t a disappointment.
The restaurant serves American, Contemporary, and Seafood. It is modeled after the old taverns. It’s not too pricey, casual attire, has a children’s menu, full bar, outdoor dining, take out, and waterfront dining. It also has live music on Saturday nights and serves lunch dinner and Sunday brunch. You can find their menu online and it is packed with delicious choices.
We tried the Grilled Chicken Salad; Broiled Shrimp & Fries; and Fried Cod & Fries. And you can tell by the pictures, they were beautiful dishes. The ingredients were fresh, crisp, and flavorful. We enjoyed the meals, atmosphere and would really love to go back if we are ever in the area again.
We had a great time and left refreshed and well-fed for the next part of our sightseeing adventure. We had a wonderful time in Charleston and really enjoyed the city and its beautiful landmarks. Maybe I’ll make a post about it sometime.
Overall, it was a nice restaurant with a great menu. The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend it if you are in that area.
