It’s almost time to go hunting and wow am I excited. I can’t wait to try out my new Treezyn Camo, get out to the woods and enjoy the outdoors.
Averi and I went to stay with the in-laws for the weekend and had a pre-lease working get-together. We set around a fire telling hunting tales and stories with family and friends. No better way to spend a Friday night.
And of course, we had to cook.
Sizzling Steaks 
Steak, potatoes & Salad
We took out some nice steaks, seasoned them up just right, and grilled them over an open pit. We cubed sweet potatoes and yellow potatoes and roasted them with butter and seasoned them to taste. Then we tossed a garden salad with all the fixings. Served it all up with crabmeat and dressing. Doesn’t this look good? It was easy, fresh, and didn’t take a lot of ingredients but it was the perfect meal for the day.
The next morning we loaded up our equipment and headed to the woods to do a little scouting, cleaning, and enjoying the outdoors. It was a nice day and had just enough mud to make it interesting.
We cleaned up some of the areas that needed it and prepped the places for our stands. It was hard work but it will be worth it when we get a big buck. Got my eye on a few nice size deer. Hoping my new camo gives me the edge I need to take one home. I am excited!!!
Averi got to take her ATV for a spin. We followed behind on the side-by-side and took a few pictures. My little daredevil didn’t even slack up at the mud. She just went on through it. She’s growing up so fast and she really loves the outdoors. Just like her momma.
It was a great weekend spent doing the things we enjoy. Outdoor fun and recreation, that’s what it’s all about.
