So this year National Daughters Day, National Hunting & Fishing Day and The Fishing Derby at our local military base all happened to be the same day.
Averi was invited to go fishing at the derby, so we dunned our gear, packed up the car and headed out for a fun day.
Can’t think of a better way to spend it than with her. She won lots of great prizes. And although she didn’t catch many fish because of the weather, she had a great time. She helped some of the other kids by showing them how to hold their rods and cast. And made me one proud momma. She’s so kind to others.
She may be the outdoorsy type but she’s still a girl so pink was the color for the day, “but no bows, mom. I want to wear my cap.” She loves those pink boots, they match the pink chair and the pink rod and reel. Right!!!!
Then it was off to lunch with mom. We stopped at a local Mexican restaurant and as you can she she liked the nachos.
It was a long day but she loved her prizes and we had a blast “making some more memories” as she says. Always an adventure with Aves.
